D. Construction…

is an ongoing study of how identity is constructed and deconstructed. Exemplified by the invention of a black/white dichotomy throughout American history, the work examines the abstractness of identities in juxtaposition to the concrete impacts they have on human bodies, proposing an innovation of identity that aims to de-center the individual subject, especially the individual white subject, into a larger contextual picture of human experience.
